Quick answers to common questions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I connect my Apple Watch to the Mac app?
Make sure all three apps are installed (Mac, iPhone, Apple Watch). Open the Mac app first, then the iPhone app. The iPhone will automatically discover your Mac. Once connected, the Watch app will relay gestures through your iPhone to your Mac.
Why does Silent Slide need Accessibility permission on Mac?
Silent Slide needs to inject keyboard events (arrow keys) to control your presentation. This is the same as pressing the arrow keys on your keyboard. We cannot read any content or access other apps.
Why does the Watch app request HealthKit permission?
We use a workout session to keep the Watch app active when your wrist is down. This is the only way to prevent watchOS from suspending the app. We do NOT read, write, or store any health data. The workout session is immediately discarded.
Double Tap gesture isn't working. What should I do?
Double Tap requires watchOS 10.1 or later. Make sure you're running a presentation and the Watch app is in the presenting view. If your wrist is down, try using the Digital Crown or wrist flick gesture instead.
Can I use Silent Slide without an iPhone?
Currently, the iPhone app acts as a relay between your Apple Watch and Mac. This architecture provides the most reliable connection. Direct Watch-to-Mac is being explored for future versions.
Does Silent Slide work with Google Slides?
Yes! Silent Slide works with any application that responds to keyboard arrow keys, including Google Slides in a browser, Keynote, PowerPoint, and PDF viewers.
My connection keeps dropping. How do I fix it?
Ensure all devices are on the same WiFi network. If you're on a corporate network with client isolation, try using Bluetooth mode (the app will fall back automatically). Keep the iPhone app open during presentations.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone to manage or cancel your Silent Slide subscription.
