Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Location data
  • Usage analytics
  • Health or fitness data
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Any data that leaves your devices

100% Local

Silent Slide operates entirely on your local network. All communication happens directly between your Apple Watch, iPhone, and Mac over your private WiFi or Bluetooth connection.

Permissions We Request

Accessibility (macOS)

Why: Required to send keyboard commands (arrow keys) to control presentations

Send keystrokes to advance/reverse slides

Read any content, log keystrokes, or access other apps

Local Network (iOS/macOS)

Why: Required to discover and connect to your Mac on the same network

Establish a direct connection between your iPhone and Mac

Connect to the internet or send data to servers

HealthKit (watchOS)

Why: Required to keep the Watch app active during presentations when your wrist is down

Start a workout session to prevent the app from sleeping

Read, write, or store ANY health or fitness data. The workout session is immediately discarded.

Bluetooth (iOS/macOS)

Why: Fallback connection method when WiFi isn't available

Connect your iPhone to your Mac via Bluetooth

Scan for other devices or transmit data to third parties

Third-Party Services

Silent Slide uses zero third-party services:

  • No analytics (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
  • No crash reporting services
  • No advertising networks
  • No social media integrations
